Essential Oils for Organizing

A Healthy Home = A Healthy YOU!

Essential oils have successfully been used to gain the motivation to organize and the energy to get it all done, plus, the air in your home can be purified of unwanted odors simply by diffusing these oils into the air. Learn tips here for moving day and planning for tomorrow and writing your to do list.

Essential oils are naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds found in the rind, flowers, stems, roots, seeds, and bark of the plant and have been used for centuries in health-care practices, beauty treatments, food and drink recipes, and cleansing and detox rituals. To see if essential oils may be right for you, take this quick survey.

There are three ways to use essential oils: aromatically, topically, and internally. For organizing, I recommend diffusing the oils into the air (aromatically) and/or putting a drop or two on the palms of your hands, rub them together, and then inhale. The pores on your hands are large and allow the essential oils to be absorbed by your skin. Discover all of your options here.

The essential oils I use come from doTERRA and are certified pure therapeutic grade to ensure it has the highest quality of active, beneficial constituents and that it is free of contaminants, adulterations, and fillers. Read about the science behind these essential oils.

There are two ways to buy certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils: retail and wholesale. Choose the way that fits your needs. If you’re new to essential oils and don’t know if you’ll make using them a habit, I recommend purchasing at retail. If you think you’re going to make the change and incorporate essential oils into your health and wellness routine, I recommend a yearly wholesale membership. Much like a Costco membership, for $35 you save 25% off of retail every day.

If you are new to using essential oils, I recommend an Intro kit of Peppermint, Lemon, and Lavender ($20 + shipping). Peppermint is a great pick-me-up and energizer, while Lavender is calming and soothing and helps you relax and get to sleep at the end of the day. Lemon oil is a great detoxifier and has a clean and uplifting scent. You can even add a drop or two to flavor your water (if adding lemon to your water bottle, always use a glass or stainless bottle).
